Sixteen year-old, Skyla Messenger is a dead girl walking.

When her newly remarried mother moves the family to Paragon Island, to a house that is rumored to be haunted, Skyla finds refuge in Logan Oliver, a boy who shares her unique ability to read minds.

Skyla discovers Logan holds the answers to the questions she’s been looking for, but Logan’s reluctance to give her the knowledge she desires leaves her believing Logan has a few secrets of his own.

Skyla’s bloodlines may just be connected to the most powerful angelic beings that roam the earth, and the more she knows, the more danger she seems to be in.

Suddenly an entire faction of earthbound angels wants her dead, at least she still has Logan, or does she?

Review:
I honestly really like this novel. I cruised through it the entire time and was LOVING all the romance. I actually really liked that all they did was just have heated kissing. I think its a nice change to all the smut im used to lol. This novel was really nice and it was an easy read. I love how real it all feels. She does have two boys in her life, but FINALLY there isnt a love triangle. There is, but not one you're used to, so i really liked it. It also feels real, because even though she is dealing with all this new change in her personal and family life she deals with it flawlessly. She doesnt freak out like in most books, she just accepts it and takes it one day at time, except with Tad, she will never get over that weirdo. haha
The only bad things i have to say about this novel is that i didnt really like how something good would happen at the end of the chapter and then the next chapter would be the next day, so you never really knew what all happened after that little part that got your heart pumping. Also Addison Moore doesnt really go too deep into the Celestra or angel history. You get bits and pieces as fast as Skyla does, but you never get all the information there is. Hopefully in the next book there will be more information, because i dont fully understand this angel story just yet. I think she focused more on Skyla's normal life than her supernatural life, which i didnt mind at all. I wish she would have kept everything the same, but just added more information. Which i mean Logan is the one telling her the information and hes only giving the smallest amount of information possible to keep her at bay until she has another question. If i was Skyla i wouldn't let him get away with him telling me half the story, i would want to know everything...NOW haha.

Overall:
It was a really great book. It was super easy to read and it kept you reading, because you wanted to know what would happen next and what Logan or Gage would say/do next. I really enjoyed all the romance and how innocent it all was and not just a bunch of horny teenagers. It was a nice tease haha. Again the only reason it isnt a 5-star rating is because i wish there was more information on the history of these types of angels, but hopefully the next book will give that to me. Definite must read, and another new series i cant wait to read more of.

Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ 4/5

Question of the Moment 14

If you had the ability to read people's minds by touching them would you like it or never touch people, like what happens in most books?

I would LOVE this ability. If i could choose a super power it would be this. I've always wanted to read people's minds and can never understand why people in books who have this power complain about it. I understand why Ever complains about it in Alyson Noel's Immortals series, but thats cause she hears voices non-stop. I would want to be able to control who's voice i heard and i think this is the only way. Now, i wouldnt be a freak who goes around touching people all the time, but i would love to just be able to hear what people were thinking.

So what do you think about it? Would love this ability or think of it as a curse? Let me know in the comments below =]
