Description from Goodreads.com:
Seventeen-year-old Bradalynn Collier is used to enduring night after night of unbearable restlessness. In the quiet darkness while everyone else sleeps, dreams that are not only hers take possession of her mind. Brady thinks her gift for entering the subconscious minds of others is a curse-until she meets the mysterious Alexander Connelly on her first day of her junior year in high school.

Alexander is a new transfer student whose mesmerizing green eyes seem to stare straight through Brady. Against the advice of her best friend, Doug Rothen, Brady decides to venture into the dark nights of Alexander's slumber. As she suffers through his relentless nightmares, becoming emotionally attached along the way, Brady finds reason to finally gain control of her unique ability. But just as an unexpected relationship emerges and blurs the line in her friendship with Doug, a devastating accident forces Brady to make an unthinkable decision.

In this compelling tale, Brady must betray the trust of others and make a choice that has the potential to tear her away from the only dream she now desires-a life with Alexander Connelly.

Review:
From the get go I knew this was going to be an interesting book and I am so glad I was right! I love the idea of someone being able to jump into other people's dreams, it just fascinates me, and so when I read the description of this book I just had to read it. Brady is such a great main character. She is dealing with her father recently passing away and trying to figure out why she has the ability to jump into people's dreams. I really liked her, because she really was an all around nice girl. She always helped out when people needed her, never got into trouble, and cared about her friends and family. She was a very unselfish person and put others first.

I also really enjoyed the tension that was introduced in this story between Brady's best friend and Alexander. It felt like a very real and palpable tension and it never felt forced or faked. I liked that Brady's ability also added to the tension, because she knew a lot of things about people because of their dreams, but she couldn't tell people that. It was interesting to see how she navigated the questions of how she knew what she knew. I also enjoyed the descriptions of the dreams she was in, because they really felt real. One moment I thought it was just the beginning of a normal day for Brady and then something crazy would happen and I would know it was a dream. I think that was a really neat way to bring the reader in the story by showing her dream jumping, instead of just telling the reader about it.

This was really just an overall great story. I am so glad I got to read this book, because I loved it from start to finish. By the last couple of chapters I was in tears and couldn't believe the ending. I absolutely need more from this story! It ends on  such a big cliffhanger and I need to know what happens next.

Overall:
I absolutely loved REM. I think the idea of someone being able to jump into others dreams is such a neat ability and I really liked reading about it and trying to figure it out along with Brady. Brady is an amazing main character and  I really think anyone can relate to her or at least like her on some level. The tension throughout this book between Brady's boy and her ability was really well done and it really kept me reading all night long. The cliffhanger ending is killing me, though, and I need to know what is going to happen next! I highly recommend this to those who like different "paranormals".
